Jodie Knight, a Glaswegian singer-songwriter began her music journey when she was just 14 busking on the streets of Glasgow. Over the years she has developed her acoustic sound, from early influences of Ben Howard and Benjamin Francis Leftwich to a more electronic-pop sound influenced by the likes of Chelsea Cutler and Jeremy Zucker. Through studying music production at LIPA University, she managed to explore more genres and experiment with modern techniques and has now very much found her sound. Alongside producing herself and her own music, she has taken the dance music industry by a storm, having one of her early collaborative releases with Ultra Records in America and continues to work with producers from around the globe. She has performed in venues across the country, opening for Rick Astley on 2 nights of his tour back in 2018, supporting Texas at a charity gig at Quaglino’s in London, and summer 2021 saw her music being played at huge festivals and venues such as Creamfields and Circus. Having had multiple spins on BBC Radio 1 and Kiss FM, radio DJ’s such as Jaguar and Ben Malone have shown support for her recent releases. With many collaborations ongoing, 2022 is set to be a big year for Jodie.
